Detroit 75 Kitchen is permanently parked in a reimagined gas station lot in Southwest Detroit and known for its chef-crafted street food that blends global flavors with local spirit.
Detroit 75 Kitchen is a proper sandwich shop owned by brothers Mike and Ahmad Nassar. It started in 2014 as a food trailer next to the family truck stop on Fort Street in Southwest Detroit, where the original still is. There is now a dine-in restaurant in Madison Heights as well.
Every item is 100% halal certified. Potatoes are hand-cut and triple-fried. Every sauce is made in the kitchen. The Detroit Style Cheesesteak is the signature sandwich, and the Garlic Cilantro Fries come from the batata harra Mike learned from his mother.
Named a Top 100 Restaurant in America by US Weekly in 2019. Named one of the 38 Essential Restaurants in Detroit by Eater Detroit. Ahmad Nassar was named to Crain’s Detroit 40 Under 40 in 2025.
